Covid-19 and GreenAcres update

Over the last few weeks, we have been following the UK government’s advice on dealing with the COVID-19 outbreak. Following the government’s most recent advice about gatherings and events we are doing everything we can to stay open and available for families and Funeral Directors alike. With this in mind, we have had to make some difficult decisions as to how we operate our parks for the foreseeable future. 

PARK OPEN TO MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC 

Following the government announcement on Saturday 18th April 2020, our park is now open for visiting the Graves and Memorials and for Funeral services following Government Guidelines. We strongly advise to  maintain ALL Government Guidelines of Social distancing while visiting the park, and request you to refrain from approaching any of the members of the team, as it puts both you and our team at risk.

Please note:

– all our facilities are closed in order to minimise transmission of COVID-19

– although, we are trying to keep the grounds maintained to the best of our abilities, to adopt the  changed way of working under the demand of current situation, we understand we might not be able to live up to our usual standards. We thank you wholeheartedly for your understanding and cooperation.

FUNERALS & WAKES IN THE PARK

At the time of writing this, funeral services will still go ahead as planned but social distancing will be observed and led by your Funeral Director. With immediate effect, we will no longer be able to offer any non-funeral related services as part of our service. So families will need to make other arrangements for these to take place outside of the park.   

CERMONIAL BUILDINGS 

Our ceremonial buildings will remain locked at all times to general park visitors and will only be opened for funeral services. Some of our parks have an outside toilet and these will be made available for visitors and clearly signposted. Hand sanitisers will be in place and we would like to remind you to follow the NHS guidelines to handwashing which you can read here. 

BY APPOINTMENT ONLY

In the interest of safety, we are moving to an appointment-only system for families wishing to visit the park to make funeral arrangements. Without an appointment our team will be unable to meet with you.  

FORTHCOMING EVENTS 

Supporting our families after the service has taken place is something the team at GreenAcres pride themselves on and over the last few years we have worked very hard at bringing our community together through events.
