We offer a place for families and friends to come together to commemorate the passing of a loved one in a beautiful natural setting. Whether you’re looking for a special place to inter or scatter the ashes or hold a memorial service, we’re here to offer support whenever you need us. And no matter what you have in mind, we can help you make it a perfect event to honour the memory of your loved one.

YOUR OPTIONS FOR MEMORIALS
Ash scattering
Often thought to be a spiritual act for setting one free, many people choose to scatter the ashes of a loved one in a location with a personal meaning. If you are looking for somewhere special, a place where you can remember and reflect then an Ash Scattering at GreenAcres Chiltern offers many beautiful areas for you to choose from. Scattering areas cannot be individually marked but if you wish you can purchase an engraved plaque made from English oak to place on a designated memorial.
Leased options for ashes
There are so many ways in which you might want to remember a loved one, and as with the funeral, this service is completely personal. If you are looking for a special place to inter a loved one’s ashes you can choose from a beautiful established tree, Woodland Glade or Bay. Located in a woodland setting, these options are offered on a lease basis available from 10 years.
Sponsored memorial
We offer a range of sponsored memorials throughout the Park, which you can personalise with an inscription and motif. Memorialise your loved one in the beauty of the outdoors and feel close to them whenever you visit the Park. Available on a 3-year sponsorship basis, our wooden memorial options include a memorial post in our Remembrance Garden, leaf on our remembrance tree, plaque placed on a bench, obelisk or log memorial or a bird box.
Urn and ashes casket
Choose from a beautifully designed bamboo or wooden casket or an acorn urn made from biodegradable materials.
Memorial post
In the woodland area of our Park, full burials and ashes graves may be marked with a single wooden post. We offer different styles of posts to suit your requirement. Please speak to a member of our team of specialists for further details.

Prestige options for ashes
Offering a greater degree of privacy and exclusivity, our prestige options can be used by families as a place where more than one member of the family can be laid to rest together. These options are offered under our Lifetime Term which is a lease of up to 99 years (subject to lease of the Park).
The Stumpery
Carefully chosen tree stumps artistically placed along a winding pathway form The Stumpery. Originally dating back to Victorian times, the upside-down tree stumps come together to create the perfect habitat for shade-loving plants and an array of wildlife. This area of atmosphere and mystery is the perfect place to inter the ashes of a loved one within a log urn. On the outside of the urn, you may place a wooden memorial plaque engraved with a personal inscription.
Living Memorial Tree
A Living Memorial Tree creates the perfect legacy for loved ones. A carefully selected sapling tree is planted with the first set of ashes. Two additional sets of ashes may be scattered around the tree in future years to create a family tribute. A single memorial post and vase may be placed at the base of the tree.
Family Tree
A Family Tree is an established tree with space for a number of burial and ash interments, or a combination of both. These trees are a special way to remember loved ones and are often selected for the love of the tree itself. A single memorial post and vase may be placed on each grave around a Family Tree.
Woodland Glade
Bordered by a low wall created by natural logs, a Woodland Glade offers a unique and dedicated place for families to connect with loved ones. Designed to accommodate a number of ash interments or a combination of ashes and burial, subject to our prior approval. A single memorial post and vase may be placed on each plot. You can also choose to purchase a bench to place in the Glade.
Woodland Bay
A Woodland Bay is a beautiful space created by nature between the foliage of the Park. The burial or interment plot is marked by the natural environment and carefully placed moss logs, blending loved one’s resting place into the Park’s peaceful surroundings. Designed to accommodate a number of ash interments or a combination of ashes and burial, subject to our prior approval. A single memorial post and vase may be placed on each plot. You can also choose to purchase a bench to place in the Bay.
Woodland Garden
A Woodland Garden offers a place of tranquillity and reflection and provides privacy and seclusion. Closed with an ornate gate, the garden is designed to reflect the landscape, beautifully blending into the surroundings. Designed to accommodate a number of ash interments or a combination of ashes and burial, subject to our prior approval. A single memorial post and vase may be placed on each plot. You can also choose to purchase a bench to place in the Garden.
