We became engaged in Potkiln Lane in 1957, returning on our 25th anniversary to the same lay-by (it has been filled in now) and proposed again! Married 60 years. I have my husband’s ashes until they can be mixed with mine. Love the grounds in the grounds in the spring with all the primroses
My husband’s funeral took place during lockdown. There were only six people present – myself our daughter, her husband and 3 children. We all came from one household. The team were very accommodating in allowing us to sit near each other and in recording the service so that my daughter in New Zealand could also experience the ceremony. I found the experience much easier for me and the children than it would have been with hundreds of people there.
