Our Park Experiences

Every part of the park has been thoughtfully created to help families reconnect with loved ones in a setting filled with natural beauty, wildlife and quiet spaces to reflect.

Whether visiting for remembrance, attending a service or simply taking time to walk through the park, Colney Park offers a calm and uplifting place to pause, reflect and remember.

Woodland Experience

These leafy, magical wonderlands provide solace from grief. Dominated by trees, woodland flowers, deer, birds and butterflies. GreenAcres woodlands hold an important cultural heritage and are sustainably maintained to avoid overcrowding and disease damage. This ensures a healthy ecosystem that benefits future generations of families, wildlife and nature.

Meadow Experience

Our flower-rich meadows are vital to our commitment to sustainable rewilding. The Meadow Experience provides a reminder of the former abundance of wildflowers in the British countryside. Meadow grasses within GreenAcres are encouraged to grow long, pathways are mowed for walkers to access the areas, and the scent of wildflowers, herbs and grass help generate a sense of calm.

Orchard Experience

GreenAcres Orchards may be small, but they’re so important if you’re looking for a specific connection from your past. Vital for wildlife and associated with home-cooked pies, crumbles and jam making, they lend themselves to blossoming park trees where families can literally gather the fruit of their loved ones.

Lawn Experience

A cherished British tradition, GreenAcres lawns are lush, manicured grass areas that are maintained to look vibrant and healthy throughout the year. Our lawn areas include seasonal flowers, bushes, shrubs, memorial options and places for people to sit and reflect in a peaceful environment.

Garden Experience

Gardens have long been considered as special private places for people to relax, reflect and rebuild. They also provide an easy space for like-minded communities to connect. GreenAcres Gardens come in a variety of formats and serve to support people for many years as they become more established, unique and a personal legacy to remaining family members.

“I want to thank GreenAcres Colney for their brilliant service. My husband was terminally ill, and they enabled him to visit the site to decide where he would like his ashes to go, so he had the peace of knowing where he would be after his death. The way we were treated was perfect, the staff seemed to know just how to deal with us, and the actual service was lovely. It was awful to lose my husband and my Son’s daddy, but the service from Colney made it all much easier to cope with and to feel peaceful about.”
“My father-in-law passed away very suddenly just before Christmas, and suddenly the family were faced with a number of decisions to make, one of which was where the burial was to take place. David loved nature, the outdoors, flowers and birds, so we took a look at Colney Park (never even knew these places existed before).
We took a drive to Colney to take a look at the grounds, and the location was beautiful, very serene, and bizarrely for me it was a place that felt happy and felt pleasant to be.
This is a place I will visit often with my family, and indeed there were many families while I was there, unlike a cemetery, they were smiling, laughing, sharing stories, and generally a lovely feeling about the place. In summary – Colney Park is a beautiful place, has a lovely feeling about it – and my advice is….If you are in doubt – go and visit the place, I am sure you will love it, as will those you are laying to rest.”
“It was such a perfect experience. I can’t begin to explain how wonderful it was, from our very first visit which was a guided walk, and amazingly, included a buggy for my dear belated Husband Paul’s parents, to the then so thoughtful and caring meeting to discuss arrangements for Paul’s Special Day as our family preferred to call it. During our above-mentioned walk we found the perfect resting place for Paul, in the middle of four perfectly beautiful trees, which we all, including the wonderful staff at GreenAcres always then referred to as Paul’s ‘four-poster bed’ which proves just how perfectly wonderful they all are.”
