Set in 52 acres of beautiful mixed woodland close to Epping Forest in Essex, the stunning facilities make this one of the most idyllic places for a very special goodbye.
GreenAcre Epping Forest, was opened on 9 May 2008 by broadcaster and author Kate Adie, and our buildings were dedicated the previous month at an interfaith service led by the Bishop of Chelmsford, with representatives from all churches and faiths, civil celebrants and humanists.
Since those early days we have had over 1000 burials and 650 ash interments. As awareness and interest in the park has grown, many people have purchased their own burial and ashes plot well in advance of the time of need.
At GreenAcres Epping Forest, we are also proud of the work we do with the community, such as inviting local schools to the woodland, holding a range of nature, music and social events, hosting children’s activity days and sponsoring and supporting local community events.
We are a living active woodland, and we are passionate about what we do here.
