Local Young Musicians To Perform At GreenAcres Woodland Burials – Epping Forest.
An afternoon music concert showcasing talented local young musicians will be taking place at GreenAcres Woodland Burial Park – Epping Forest, located off Kiln Road on Saturday 15th June from 2pm. Taking place in the Woodland Hall, located within a stunning woodland setting, the concert is open to all and free to attend, with full disability access throughout the park facilities. Light refreshments will be available.
The musicians performing were finalists in the ‘Young Musicians’ class at the 2013 Stratford & East London Music Festival and will be offering a varied programme including works by Massenet, Schumann, Sondheim, Ireland and Gilbert & Sullivan for harp, flute, recorder, violin and voice. All donations received will be offered to the Nordoff Robbins music charity, to support further young people in using music as a form of therapy
The Stratford and East London Music Festival, founded in 1882, is the oldest English Music Festival in England. This year there were 200 classes, with entries from the surrounding boroughs of Essex, Barking and Dagenham, Newham, Havering, Walthamstow and various areas of London. The festival, a registered charity, is run by dedicated volunteers.
Nordoff Robbins is a national music charity dedicated to transforming the lives of vulnerable children and adults across the UK. They use music therapy and other music services to help people with a range of challenges such as autism, dementia, mental health problems, stroke, brain injury, depression and life-threatening or terminal illnesses such as cancer. All of the people Nordoff Robbins help have one uniting factor – music dramatically improves their quality of life.

GreenAcres Woodland burials –Epping Forest is a woodland cemetery that offers full burials, ashes burials, ashes scatterings and services in a stunning woodland setting.
