The first signs of spring have arrived our woodland team have spotted catkins sprouting on the Alder and Hazel trees, primroses flowering, bluebells and foxgloves shoot’s. We have seen a number of baby rabbits, ladybirds, dragonfly larvae, butterflies, pheasants, sparrow hawks, nuthatches, woodpeckers, moorhens, tree sparrows, bumblebees, blue tits, long tailed tits, great tits, collared doves, jackdaws, jays, crows and buzzards.

Our woodland team have been working very hard; in total we have planted over 7,000 saplings since we first opened in 2013 and have improved the woodland ecological system through management techniques such as selective mowing and felling of invasive tree’s and shrub’s.’
