Sunday 16th December 2012
On Sunday 16 December three Christmas Remembrance Services were held in the Woodland Hall at Epping Forest Woodland Burial Park. Led by civil celebrant Kim Noakes, the services included choral music and instrumental solos from local youth choir the Churchfield Singers, as well as carols and a variety of readings from staff and families. Each service also included a minute’s silence for reflection, during which a candle was lit.
Following the services, families enjoyed mulled wine and mince pies in the Gathering Hall, and tags were available for memorial messages to be hung on the Christmas tree.
Feedback from all who attended was very positive; one lady whose son is buried at the Park rang the office on behalf of herself and 6 friends who attended, to say a big thank you for such an enjoyable service and wanted to say a big ’10 out 10′.
