May marks the start of quite a few good things, the bluebells are out, the sun has shown it lovely warm face, but best of all for us here at the Rainford park, it marks the start of our new Woodland Supervisor! We are over the moon to welcome Ian to the team. Ian is from Merseyside so has a fantastic knowledge of the area. He has over 20 years of horticultural and environmental conservation experience, and has worked at both coastal and woodland areas. In his spare time Ian still spends a lot of his time outdoors, whether its walking in Wales or channelling his inner Bare Grylls, practising his survival skills in the Scottish Highlands. When Ian is not outside in his walking boots, he is enjoying playing the guitar. He has played in several bands over the years but his favourite thing to play is classical music. We think Ian is going to be a great addition to the team. So from all of us here in GreenAcres Rainford, we would like to send him a very warm welcome, and don’t forget to go and say hello if you happen to see him on your visit to the park.
