GreenAcres Woodland Burials in Chiltern, Beaconsfield is one of the very best in the UK according to Keep Britiain
The woodland burial park is among a record-breaking 1,447 parks and green spaces that will today receive a prestigious Green Flag Award.
This national award, handed out by environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy, recognises and rewards the best parks and green spaces across the country.
GreenAcres Woodland Burials – Chiltern opened in 2009 and has 72-acres of native woodland. The meticulous management of the wood helps to support hundreds of species, including Greater Spotted Woodpeckers, Tree Creepers and Jays. The park also plays host to stunning displays of Bluebells and Foxgloves each year to provide a perfect place for peaceful reflection and remembrance for the hundreds of families with loved ones laid to rest at Chiltern.
Emma Knox, Marketing Assistant at GreenAcres Woodland Burials – Chiltern said: “We are absolutely delighted to receive a Green Flag Award again this year”
“This Award recognises and highlights that people in Beaconsfield and the surrounding area are benefiting from a green space of the very highest quality.
“We would encourage anyone to visit and walk around our beautiful park. We have Open Days on the first Saturday of each month and visitors are invited to collect a free Self-Guided Walk to help them learn more about the Chiltern Woodland.”
The record number of awards across the country means more people than ever before will have access to well-managed, quality green space, which is vital to people’s health and wellbeing.
