GreenAcres Epping Forest invites visitors of the park to sign up to their new volunteering group. The brainchild of Woodland Warden James Cunning, volunteers are encouraged to become part of the woodland team and assist in the practical management of the woodland and wildlife.
- coppicing of sweet chestnut trees
- management of rhododendron
- creation of important habitats for wildlife like this great bug hotel
As well as the opportunity to receive full training in the use of hand tools such as bow saws and loppers.
Volunteers will be given health and safety training and must be aged 18 or over.
If this sounds like you, please get in touch or pop into reception the next time you’re in the park. Our friendly woodland team will be delighted to have you on board!
