On Sunday the Park held its first Family Remembrance event and what a lovely day it was. Usually at this time of year we would honour baby loss awareness week but this year we decided to open it up to everyone who has lost a special someone. To give families the chance to talk to people who have been through similar situation. At each event we raise money for a chosen local charity and on this occasion it was Love, Jasmine, a charity set up by a family who lost their young daughter Jasmine at the age of 6.
On the day of the event, we heard all about the Love, Jasmine Foundation and our Park’s Deputy Manager, Diane spoke and read a beautiful poem and invited everyone to write a message to their loved one on a heart and tie it to our remembrance tree.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank Love, jasmine, and everyone who attended the event and to all those who donated. We raised over £100 for love, Jasmine to help them in their pursuit to bring bereavement support to families who have a lost a child of any age from 24 weeks gestation. Taking a holistic approach with yoga and meditation classes, hot stone massage, reiki, hopi candles, aromatic facials and reflexology. Understanding that everyone deals with their grief and trauma in their own way.
We also like to say a massive thank you to Little Barby’s Catering Company for donating the refreshments on the day.
