At Greenacres we have some very colourful characters and wildlife, including our Pheasants and our magnificent Peacock. However we have some much more subdued characters who rely on their inconspicuous nature to survive.
The Common Buzzard
The buzzard is Britain’s most common bird of prey and can often be seen surveying the field in front of the woodland hall from his favourite Alder tree for food. He can catch his own food but is equally at home eating carrion.
Fun fact: The Latin for the Common Buzzard is Buteo buteo which translates literally as bird bird.
