Each year, local charity Nelson’s Journey hold Purple Picnic Week, to raise money for the vital support services they provide to the bereaved children of Norfolk. This year we invite our families and new visitors alike to have their Purple Picnics at Colney Wood, during the week of 12-18th June.
A Purple Picnic is a chance to celebrate and remember loved ones, and raise money for Nelson’s Journey at the same time. There are benches throughout the woodland and our beautiful Meadow has lots of space for picnicking. You may wish to ring us on 01603 811556 before visiting just to check what is happening in the park that day.
Visit the Nelson’s Journey website to register your Purple Picnic and pick up tips on fundraising and how to make your picnic purple!
We will also be collecting donations for Nelson’s Journey at our Father’s Day Service of Remembrance, on Sunday 18th June.
