Directions

GreenAcres Chiltern is easily accessible by car; the park is located just outside Beaconsfield, not far from the M40.

Approaching the park from the M40 – exit at junction 2 and take the A355 (signposted to Beaconsfield). At the first roundabout take the second exit, the A40 (signposted to Gerrards Cross) and continue along it for approximately 0.5 miles. After passing the speed camera, turn left into Potkiln Lane (signposted to Jordans). The entrance to the Park is on the left-hand side of the road after approximately 400 yards.

Approaching the Park from the Amersham area – at the south side of the town, take the A355 (signposted to Beaconsfield). Continue on the A355 to the end of the road, where you will be at the east end of Old Beaconsfield. Take the second exit from the mini roundabout, signposted to the M40. At the next roundabout, take the first exit onto the A40 towards Gerrards Cross, and continue for approximately 0.5 miles. After passing the speed camera, turn left into Potkiln Lane (signposted to Jordans). The entrance to the Park is on the left-hand side of the road after approximately 400 yards.

Approaching the Park from the Uxbridge area – at the northwest end of the town, take the A4020 (Oxford Road) to the Denham roundabout. Go under the motorway and take the A40 (Oxford Road) keeping to the left-hand lane as you approach the traffic lights junction with the A413. Keep on the A40 through Tatling End and past Gerrards Cross Common, continuing past The Bellhouse Hotel on your left, then take the next right into Potkiln Lane (signposted to Jordans). The entrance to the Park is on the left-hand side of the road after approximately 400 yards.

If you are travelling by train – the nearest railway station on Chiltern Rail is Seer Green & Jordans, from where a five-minute taxi ride will bring you to the park. More frequent trains stop at either Gerrards Cross or Beaconsfield stations, although both are a few miles away.

The only bus service – that comes close to the Park is the A40 – however, as there is a distance to walk from the nearest bus stop and no footpaths along Potkiln Lane, this is not a means of travel that we would recommend for visitors.

Park facilities

There is ample space for car parking at our Park, as well as parking for coaches, bikes and motorcycles. Disabled parking spaces are available near the buildings. All buildings have disabled access and facilities and there is an electric buggy available to transport visitors with restricted mobility around the woodland.

The Park roads are sufficiently wide to accommodate two cars passing. Driving on site is restricted while funeral services takes place. We humbly request all our visitors to be respectful to the rules and regulations of the Park.

Frequently Ask Question

If you are recently bereaved, your first point of contact is usually your Funeral Director. They’ll be able to liaise with us to organise a date for your service. However, we always invite families to visit a GreenAcres park before they make any decision so they can take a look around, and discuss what they’d like to happen on the day of the service. You’ll also be able to select a plot at the park, after which, we’ll confirm all the details and coordinate the arrangements with your Funeral Director.

No. It’s entirely up to you. Our multi-faith service halls are for both religious and non-religious services. We pride ourselves on our relationships with both the local clergy and the local independent celebrant team, ensuring that we meet the requirements of both the religious and secular community. Our grounds aren’t consecrated, but individual graves can be blessed if you wish.

Throughout the park we have specially dedicated burial areas so, with the help of a member of our team, you’ll be able to select where you’d like your loved one to be buried.

All interments have to be paid in full before the funeral can take place. You can pay via credit or debit card, cheque or by bank transfer. If you’re planning ahead, please speak to a member of our team about our instalment plan.

The choice of coffin is a very personal one. Eco coffins made from cardboard, willow, banana leaf and bamboo are acceptable at all of our parks as well as traditional wooden ones. However, our eco and conservation policies, mean metal caskets or zinc-lined coffins cannot be interred. Some people opt for a simple shroud made from natural fabric instead.

In some areas of our parks, you’re welcome to use any coffin (tapered at the shoulder with a removable lid) or casket (rectangular in shape with a hinged lid) that isn’t zinc lined. However, please be mindful that only our traditional burial graves, private gardens, gated gardens, and mausoleums can accommodate coffins and caskets. At the woodland and meadowland parks, it isn’t possible to use caskets in all areas because of their size.

Please also note that for a cremation service, metal/zinc lined caskets and metal ornaments
on any coffin are not permitted.

All our full burial and cremated remains plots are double depth. This allows for the plot to be used by a second person in the future, perhaps a close family member or loved one. But there’s no obligation to use the second interment space.

Unlike some other burial sites or cemeteries, we take the long-term care of the place where your loved one is buried very seriously. Through our regular maintenance programme, our Grounds Team ensure that the park is well cared for at all times. A proportion of each sale is invested in an Independent Trust Fund. That means there are funds available to secure the long-term preservation and maintenance of our beautiful parks for many years to come.

Every five years, during the duration of the lease, we will write to the registered owner and offer the option to extend the lease for 10, 20 or 30 years. If you do not wish to renew your lease, then the grave can no longer be memorialised when the lease expires. Existing burials in the plot will not be removed or disturbed, but any remaining space in the plot will be made available to be used by someone else.

Some people choose not to mark a grave with a wooden or other substantial memorial (where allowed). However, whenever we bury anyone at our parks, we record the graves very carefully and use traditional mapping to ensure that there is a permanent record of each person who is buried with us and their location.
